Multi-Ply Construction
Baltic Birch plywood features dense multi-ply construction that delivers exceptional strength, clean exposed edges, and reliable performance across a wide range of panel sizes.
Uniform birch veneers throughout the panel create a stable, machinable plywood trusted for cabinetry, fabrication, and structural applications.
Baltic Birch plywood is manufactured using multiple layers of birch veneer throughout the entire panel. Each veneer layer is typically peeled to approximately 1.3mm to 1.5mm thickness, producing a dense multi-ply construction that provides exceptional strength and stability. Because the core layers are also birch veneer, the exposed panel edge shows a distinctive, uniform appearance that is often left visible in finished applications.
Baltic Birch has been supplied to the North American market for more than fifty years and remains a preferred panel product for manufacturers and woodworkers who require reliable machining performance and structural consistency.
While traditional Baltic Birch was produced primarily in 5′ x 5′ sheets, modern production now includes additional formats such as 4′ x 8′, 10′ x 5′, and 10′ x 4′ panels, allowing greater flexibility for industrial production and architectural uses.

Baltic Birch Grading
Baltic Birch plywood is graded using a face/back veneer designation. We offer several commonly requested grades through our warehouse inventory.
Additional grading details and specification sheets are available upon request. Our team can help determine the appropriate Baltic Birch grade and panel format based on your manufacturing process or end use.
BB/BB
Single-piece face and back veneers. Both surfaces allow several small-color matched patches, minor mineral streaks, and tight pin knots. Inner cores consist of solid birch veneer layers.
CP/CP
Face and back veneers allow sound knots, repaired splits, and multiple patches. Panels remain structurally sound and are commonly used for laminating or secondary finishing applications.
BB/CP
Single-piece face veneer with a CP-grade back. The CP back may include additional patches and sound knots but does not allow open defects. Core construction remains solid birch veneer.
C/C
Open knots, patches, and veneer splits permitted. Veneer laps and small core voids may occur. Panels are typically unsanded and used in structural or industrial applications.
Shop Grades
Shop panels are supplied in the standard 60″ × 60″ format across multiple grade categories. These panels may include limited edge splits along one side of the sheet and are offered at a reduced price compared to standard on-grade material.
